Four language groups are asking for tools to translate God’s Word so they can deepen their faith and be equipped to share the Gospel, even in the face of extreme hostility.

In one especially dangerous area of the Middle East, five pastors of underground churches were determined to translate the Bible into their heart language—after their people had waited for generations. In a secret location, they finished translating the New Testament and shared it electronically with enthusiastic believers.

These believers were overjoyed to begin sharing the newly translated Good News. But that’s when Muslim extremists found them and killed them, shooting video of their bodies.

This deadly violence has not deterred Christians in the Middle East. In fact, they are even more on fire to begin translating Scripture where it has never existed before! As one believer told us: “Nothing is more important than this.”

National Bible translation teams for four language groups are ready to go. But it will take $19,500 to provide the tools and the technology for each of them: computers, software, satellite uplink, and most of all, safe places to work.
