There are thousands of oral cultures that have been maintained by one generation verbally passing on a way of life to the next generation. Beautiful songs and stories are memorized with such detail and precision to preserve their history, culture, and traditions for centuries!

But they need to have the greatest story of all—the story of God’s love and redemption—to pass down from generation to generation.

In these spoken-only cultures, a printed copy of the Bible would simply sit on a shelf, impossible to understand. But Scripture in an audio format can speak God’s Word into their hearts!

We have identified 50 spoken-only language groups—representing millions of people—who deeply need God’s Word. Believers in these cultures are eager to have Scripture translated into their heart language. They are yearning to understand the fullness of God’s Word so they can grow deeper in their spiritual lives and pass the Good News on to others.

Our Bible Translation Recording Kits (BTRKs)—each equipped with a laptop computer, a microphone, and specialized Bible translation and recording software—can help national Bible translators not only translate Scripture orally, but also record it so their entire community can be transformed by God’s Word.

Each BTRK costs $2,000, and our prayerful goal is to provide this technology to all 50 language groups—for a total of $100,000.
