By God’s mighty hand, we have an incredible opportunity to launch national Bible translation in seven languages of the Middle East . . . SEVEN!
He led us to the most unlikely of places—including a refugee camp. For security reasons we can’t share where this camp is located, but there we’ve found people who are asking to not only receive God’s Word but to share it with their Muslim neighbors.
National Bible translators are ready to begin translating as soon as they have the tools. This comes with great risk, but they know this is an opportunity to bring God’s Word to the people they love . . . people who have never seen a Bible in their own language.
This door won’t remain open for long, and with the lives of national Bible translators at serious risk, we must act.
It costs $19,500 to launch one translation. That’s a total of $136,500 needed to provide the technology, tools, and training that make God’s Word available to all seven languages.
Bible translation teams are ready. Willing to pay any price. Willing to risk their very lives. One translator even saying:
“I know I’ll die doing this.”
The look on his face and the tone of voice spoke volumes. It was as if he were saying, Why would you even ask? Of course that’s going to happen. Then, he continued:
“My fear is that it will happen before we have the Bible in our language.”
If national Bible translators are ready to lay down their lives for the sake of sharing God’s Word with their people, we’ve got to stand with them!
God has given us this incredible breakthrough in the Middle East, so we’re praying that you will help bring God’s Word to seven entire language groups.
Please let God use you to bring His Word to the Middle East.
